Hearts And Leopards Heart Necklace

I'm lucky enough to get every other Friday off, so my weekend starts today! I know, I'm making you all jealous, I'm sorry....kind of. This weekend is really busy for us, and today is no different. I typically don't spend my Friday's off relaxing. Quite the opposite, I'm usually running errands and toting my little darling all over creation. So it is extremely crucial to keep it casual and comfy for days like this. Heels are a definite no-no, as is anything form fitting. The easiest way I find to achieve both style and comfort - is to add animal print. There is always room in an outfit for animal print! I also took inspiration from one of my favorite blogs, The Fashion Minx. Recently she had a post about "kitschy sweaters" which inspired me to pull one out my closet for tomorrow. It's not as extravagant as some of the sweaters she featured in her post, but the fact that it has furry hearts on it - well that definitely qualifies as "kitschy&

Attention to Detail

This morning my little one woke up and wanted out of her crib in a bad way. Typically she plays in there for a bit and let's me get ready. But not today. She must have used her baby-sense to pick up on the fact that I needed to head into the office for an important meeting. So instead of being able to spend time putting together a well coordinated outfit, I found myself having 3 minutes (and a lot of crying as a distraction). Needless to say, it turned out to be a "grab and go" kind of day. Because of the crunch (there's always something that creeps up isn't there?), I had to resort to some great accessories to pull off a polished look. My ensemble wasn't too daring - just blue jeans and a RW&B; sweater. But the sweater had great gold accents on the shoulder so I added earrings, shoes, and a bracelet that really played that small detail up! Smart Meets Chic

Working in the corporate world I'm constantly trying to find office appropriate fashion without being 'blah'. I like to look and feel great about myself, and it's hard to do that when you sit in a cube farm all day. Ok I'm greatly exaggerating because for the past 9 months I've worked from home almost full time - but soon I have to actually start going back in *gasp*. But what better reason for a shopping spree?? I see a new wardrobe in my near future. I put together this "Wall Street" look below. It's sophisticated with a few edgy punches. The dress is office friendly while having some extra pizazz that keeps me smiling. I'm loving this look!
